Former president of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Javed Hashmi, had to face the wrath of angry students at Multan’s Nishtar Medical College who chanted Daghi Daghi slogans at his face. This is the fourth time Javed Hashmi had to face an embarrassing situation like this.
He his on a door to door campaign for October 15th by-election of NA-149 constituency which fell vacant after his resignation.
Upon seeing Javed Hashmi’s car, students started chanting Go Nawaz Go and called him Daghi. Hashmi on this occasion said that he was not going to join PMLN. “I will never join PMLN and I will continue as an independent candidate”, said Hashmi while trying to calm down the students.
However, the students continued to chant Daghi Daghi forcing Javed Hashmi to leave the area. “We gave him (Hashmi) so much love but he tried to stab us in the back”, said one of the students.
Javed Hashmi recently resigned as president of PTI stating that he could not remain a president of a party that is against democracy. Javed Hashmi also blamed Imran Khan of plotting killings of people and or some important dignitary to destabilize the democratic system of Pakistan.
Imran Khan however lamented the unfounded allegations of Mr. Hashmi and said that he was saddened to hear this. “I am deeply hurt and saddened to hear such baseless allegations from Hashmi”, said Imran Khan.
