Fire surrounded a Plaza in Lahore’s Ichra area on Tuesday, killing at least one as a result.

According to reports, the fire started due to a short circuit, and as wires caught fire, the seven-storey building got covered with smoke.

“A man who jumped out of a window of the plaza succumbed to his injuries,” according to police sources.

The rescue team had reached in time and at least 60 people were rescued from the building while 12 injured people were taken to the nearby hospital.
