Today when everyone is in a race, and human life is experiencing a change due to the advancement in technology, one wonders whether, ultimately, it’ll prove positive or negative for the human race. The advancement in technology has also increased people’s desires. Materialism has surpassed true values of life. Everyone seems to have forgotten about our family members and are busy in earning money to keep up with the advancement in technology.

The negative aspect of this phenomena is that when many young find it hard to fulfill their needs and keep up with everyone else, the pressure builds up. They get depressed. This is why, it has been proven through various research surveys that youngsters are more depressed and frustrated than they were a before the technological advancement.

Many youngsters start doing drugs because that’s the only viable way they can see to escape the pressure of reality. When they start doing drugs, they lose aspect with reality and tend to have a complete disregard towards society’s norms and rules.

The catch here is that we keep our desires at arms length. Technology is good but we must not become a subservient to technology, rather it should serve us. This is the only way we, as a human race, can survive our destruction.
