Everyone talks of this smartphone and that smartphone. Smartphone makers seem to be at war with each other and so are the people with their varying choices when it comes to deciding the best smartphone. However, often times, in this debate to decide which smartphone is the best, people forget the most important war of survival is not between the smartphones but the operating systems, i.e Android and IOS.
Both of these operating systems have taken has taken phones to the smarter position that they enjoy. Without them they would just be useless pieces of hardware.
This war of Android vs IOS has taken an extreme position and are trying hard to be able to win over the attention of the masses by introducing new and intuitive features. Android fans prefer this operating system over IOS because it has more customizable features whereas, IOS is known for its inbuilt features. However, with their similar features like the Siri of IOS and the Google Now of Android, it is always a tough call for consumers to choose between IOS and Android.
Android and IOS got even better with their performances after their new updates called Lollipop and IOS 8 respectively. The Lollipop version comes with improved features such as designs, security upgrades and many more. While the Apple company calls its IOS 8 the best update till date since its first release as it comes with better system performance and improved multitasking.
Initially, the biggest plus point of Android was that that different smartphones ran on different devices while IOS only ran on iPhone. However, its Lollipop version has blown away people’s mind because this is the first time they worked more on the design as compared to the older versions. The design is quite smooth and one wouldn’t easily get bored with it.
IOS 8 on the other hand, brings quite an improved look and feel as compared to its earlier versions because a lot of effort was put into changing its monotonous design to the sleek and clean flat design. The new version came with adding “Cherry On The Top” by enhancing the overall performance and adding few impressive features which received great feedback from the users.
However, as far as the end consumers of both operating systems go, it can’t be better explained than the chart tweeted by BizSparkSA.
Coming to the conclusion, both the Operating Systems are impressive and good in their own way. One just have to decide which one is more suitable for them, as there is no clear winner among these two Operating Systems.
