Banned militant group BLA(Baloch Liberation Army) attacked the residency of the founding father of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah and destroyed it. They chose the residency of Mr. Jinnah because they wanted to send a message, they do not recognize Pakistan. BLA has been active in its insurgent activities since 2000, the time when it became publicly known.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, had spent his last days at this residency located in Ziarat area of Balochistan. It was a historic place and many admirers would go visit it. Mr. Jinnah liked this place due to its weather and atmosphere as it was much cooler and quieter than Karachi.

BLA’s attack on Pakistan’s founding father residency sends a clear cut message to the government of Pakistan. They do not accept the very foundation of Pakistan. They want to separate Balochistan at any cost.

This attack is also a strong message to all those who were protagonists of having a dialogue with these insurgents. They do not believe in settling disputes on the negotiation table. After destroying the house, they removed the flag of Pakistan and replaced it with their own.

A police constable also got killed during this attack. After this incident, heavy contingent of Police and FC reached the place and cordoned off the area. A search operation was also initiated to find the culprits responsible for this heinous crime. Interior Minister, Choudry Nisar Ali Khan, said that every resource would be utilized to probe this case and bring those responsible to justice.
