Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar dismissed the rumors on Monday that the government was planning to replace the Army chief General Raheel Shareef.

“It is baseless speculation; we have complete trust in the incumbent top command of our military”, said Chaudhry Nisar.

“We need an army chief like General Raheel Sharif who has earned national and international fame. We need him to fight militants”, he further added.
