Alas! there are 6.7 million Drug addicts in Pakistan. The shocking and saddest thing is that most of these intoxicants are the youngsters ranging from 20 -39 years of age. Ignorance, unemployment and lack of information drive people to use drugs. And one another most important reason is the fashion, which youngsters learn from movies. They start to use “Cigar” and “Alcohol” as a fashion. But this fashion eventually becomes their need. There are more than 430,000 people who inject themselves with drugs which kill them morally as well as physically.

Drug cartels are backed by the people who have money as well as authority. Hence, no action has been taken against them. Otherwise a question that naturally arises from this situation is that how can drugs be so readily available in our country?

Cannabis (Chars) is most commonly used in all rural and urban areas. Around four million people are listed as users of this drug.

It is thus a moment of concern for all of us that how we can save our present and our future. We can only save people if we really consider it is an issue and then try our best to eliminate it from our society. Moreover, strict action against the cartels should be taken with impunity.
