Abdul Sattar Edhi, famous Pakistani philanthropist, was plundered by some unknown people at his centre in Karachi. Looters got away with 20 million rupees and 5 kg gold.
While talking to media, Abdul Sattar Edhi said that some unknown persons entered his centre and asked him for the key to his safe house. “They locked me up including other workers and then got away in no time”, he said.
“They seemed to have prior information about the money and gold present in the centre”, said Edhi.
The whole incident took less than 30 minutes. According to Edhi, the looters did not waste time searching anywhere else. “They went straight to the safe where the gold and money was kept and went on their way”, said Abdul Sattar Edhi.
