Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief has inaugurated Karachi- Lahore (M-9) Motorway which will cost 36 billion on its development and is expected to be completed in 30 months. The Motorway will cover a total distance of 1160 km from Lahore to Karachi. Prime Minister was accompanied by chief minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Governer Sindh Eshrat-ul- Ebad. The project was originally announced during Prime Minister’s visit to Karachi in 2013.
The development of motorway from Karachi to Lahore will be completed in five phases. In the first phase, it will be constructed from Karachi to Hyderabad.
Certainly, the Motorway will work a great deal to facilitate people by providing an easier route between Karachi and Lahore. Additionally, it will make it very easy to travel to other major cities such as Sukkur, Badin, Ghotki, Rohri, Dadu, Abro, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiq Abad, Zahir, Pir Jalalpr, Nankana Sahib, Peerwala, Abdul Hakim and Mamo Kajan.
Karachi city is an economic hub of the country that provides about 70% revenue to Pakistan. Hence, the decision of the government to provide a fast link to this city will further boost the economy of Pakistan. It will increase the mobility and save valuable time of people. Furthermore, it will also help in promoting educational activities by allowing students to easily go to one city or another.

Whoever wrote this is an idiot. Karachi makes up 12% of Pakistan's GDP not 70% and the share of revenue generations is even lower
