Fawad Khan better known as Zaroon in India for ‘Zindagi Gulzar hai’, is making his big Bollywood debut with ‘Khoobsurat’. Fans from both India and Pakistan are anxiously awaiting this movie which is India’s first Disney film.
Walt Disney and Anil Kapoor Film Company have jointly produced the movie which has been titled, Khoobsurat. The lead stars of the movie are Fawad Khan and Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor.
Fawad Khan had been getting numerous offers from Bollywood but he chose “Khoobsurat” for it’s interesting script. He is playing a modern day Prince in the movie.
“‘Khoobsurat’ was the ideal platform to make my Bollywood debut as it is a clean family entertainer and a modern-day fairytale. It was a lot of fun working on this film and I hope the audience enjoys it as much as I enjoyed during the making,” Fawad said.
As soon as the first teaser of the movie was released, fans took to the social networks and praised Fawad Khan’s first Bollywood look and feel.
Fawad Khan plays the role of a modern-day prince in the movie while Soonam Kapoor plays a doctor’s role who visits the royal family on an assignment. Soon the difference between social class of both families clashes between each other and the movie portrays all in this in a very lighthearted and fun way.
Fawad said he was thankful to the overall team for being so supportive and for making him feel at home.
“It was my first ever Bollywood assignment, but the whole team made me feel so at home that I didn’t even feel as if I was away from my home country”, Fawad said in a press conference.
‘Khoobsurat’ is all set to release worldwide on September 19, 2014.
Fans from Pakistan also eagerly await the release of ‘Khoobsurat’ movie and are all set to watch the first premier of the movie as it hits the cinemas. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are fully of comments about this upcoming movie and looking at this momentum that is building up, one can easily predict that the movie is going to be a bigger success.
‘Khoobsurat’ is a remake of the movie of the same title which featured Rekha and Rakesh Rohan.
