Indian hockey team has won the gold medal at Asian Hockey Cup. The match was tied 1-1 and the fate of the match had to be decided via Penalty Shootout. India prevailed by the shootout by 4-2.

All in all it was an interesting match with both sides trying their level best to win the gold medal for their country. Pakistani team dominated the last half of the match but could not get lucky to goal.

Indian players played the Shootout quite sensibly and managed to win the gold medal for their country. The final win also has allowed Indian team a spot in the upcoming 2016 Olympics.
