Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has claimed that most of the people attending the PTI rally at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore were from Peshawar. He said this after appearing before the NAB court in corruption case against him and his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He also claimed that the script of the rally was of someone else, hinting at establishment role. “The venue was Lahore, the people were from Peshawar, and the script was of someone else”, he told reporters outside court premises.
Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif were named in the infamous Panama Papers and linked to four apartments in London worth billions of Pakistani rupees. Sharif family had staunchly denied owning the flats before Panama Papers revelations.
