Amid a tense security situation, Pakistani authorities have sealed border with Afghanistan till further orders. Pakistan is under attack by terrorists where in the last five days seven bomb blasts have rocked various cities of the country claiming dozens of lives.
The responsibility of the attacks has been claimed by terrorists residing in Afghanistan. Most of these terrorists found safe havens in Afghanistan after Pakistan launched operation Zarb-e-Azb against them.
The news of border closure came from DG ISPR, Maj General Asif Ghafoor. “Pakistan-Afghanistan border closed with immediate effect till further orders due to security reasons”, said a tweet from General Ghafoor on ISPR’s official twitter handle.
Recent Ts acts are being exec on directions from hostile powers and from sanctuaries in Afghanistan. We shall defend and respond.
