Another incident of mobile snatching has been reported today in Hayatabad where a group of five men snatched mobile phone from a person in broad daylight.

“I was walking in the street in Phase 2 area when a car having some 5 men stopped me and demanded that I give them my iPhone 6”, said the victim who was in his early twenties.

“I could not do anything but to give them my phone”, he lamented.

Several similar cases of phone snatching have been reported in the recent past. Many have lost their lives when they tried to resist the snatchers.

Hayatabad, being a posh residential area, is a special target of such mobile snatchers and the authorities seem to be having a hard time nabbing such gangs.

According to police,  about 74 mobile and cash snatching incidents have been recorded in Peshawar since January this year. However, this number does not reflect those incidents which are never reported.
