PMLN candidate Rana Akhtar Ali today won the PP-100 by-election with a sizable margin according to unofficial and unconfirmed reports.

Rana Akhtar Ali secured 49,991 votes, while Ehsanullah Virk who was contesting on PTI’s ticket bagged 28,380 votes. The by-election was held after the death of Rana Shamshad Ahmed Khan, the brother of Rana Akhtar Ali died.

Earlier supporters of Rana Akhtar Ali Khan attacked members of the PTI due to which elections held suspended for some time. Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeem ul Haq termed the attack as the typical mindset of PMLN to achieve things via force and malafide if they can’t achieve it through legal means.
