According to DIG Munir Sheikh, they have recovered the vehicle used by the perpetrator who fired on Wasim Akram in a road rage incident.

The recovery of the vehicle created a lot of confusion as the vehicle number Wasim had mentioned in his initial FIR was AEG-061 having a White/Silver color.

However, when Police tracked down the car with the same number, it was red coloured and its owner had been living abroad for the last three years.

This led Police authorities to believe that either Wasim was not able to record a correct number or the perpetrator had a fake number plate on his vehicle.

However, today the authorities say they have recovered a silver coloured Honda City registered as AEJ-061. The vehicle belongs to a person named Maj (R) Amir who is the head of a private security company. Police have arrested the driver of the vehicle.
