There seems to have a thaw in India and Pakistan relations as Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali have been granted visas by authorities of Indian Ministry of External Affairs. Both actors will act in Sridevi starrer, Mom.

After the Uri attack, the Indo-Pak relations had hit a new low. Pakistani actors were asked to leave the country. Both Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali’s visas were rejected several times before.

The activists of far right nationalist party, Shiv Sena, threatened to burn any cinema that would feature a movie having Pakistani actors.

Famous Indian producer Karan Johar had to publically apologize on national television for casting Pakistani actors in his movie. He pledged not to cast any Pakistani actor in his movies in future and requested his movie Ay Dil Hai Mushkil be allowed to feature in cinemas this time. Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was one of the cast members of this movie.

Adnan and Sajal Ali been given a one-month visa. They will go straight to Delhi to complete the shoot of the movie. Adnan will play the role of Sridevi’s husband while Sajal Ali will play their daughter. Mom, is a woman-centric movie.
