The news was revealed on Friday at a meeting between a 12-member Turkish delegation and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Ijaz A Mumtaz.
Yildirir said that Turkish businessmen were keen to start joint ventures with the Pakistani businessmen in different fields including printing, security systems, building material, construction services and textiles.
From August 15th a direct flight from Lahore to Istanbul would start on a daily basis.
Ijaz A Mumtaz said, “With the GSP Plus status, the need of technology improvement and capacity building in the textile sector is necessary. So any initiative from the Turkish business community to invest in Pakistan’s textile industry is highly appreciated.”
Mumtaz further added that Turkey is in best position to take advantage of Pakistan’s economic potential and its geostrategic location.
