It looks like the brief saga of Veena Malik’s attempt to part ways from her husband Asad Khattak is over as the actress has reportedly agreed to reconcile with her husband. “I have forgiven him”, said the former actress who left show business after her marriage.
Veena Malik made the rounds all over media when the news of her separation was made public. She had received an order in her favour from the court granting her “Khula”, a female version of divorce in Islam. The court gave the order after Asad Khattak failed to appear before court on numerous occasions.
However, before the matter could get any worse, well wishers started attempts to reconcile the couple and talk them against divorce. Mufti Naeem of Jamia-e-Binoria and Maulana Tariq Jameel were instrumental in persuading Veena against her decision.
Veena also appeared on Amir Liaquat’s show ‘Aisa Nahi Chalega’ where she explained why she tried to take the difficult decision of getting a divorce. “Asad became a totally different person after marriage and would constantly abuse me”, she said on the show.
However, Asad Khattak had a conciliatory tone right from the beginning. He apologized on his behaviour and promised her that he will not repeat his mistakes.
